Odisha Circle to Conduct Visits to 600 Branch Offices Over Next 6 Months

 


In a major administrative and business outreach initiative, the Department of Posts has announced an extensive visit plan covering 600 Branch Offices (BOs) across Odisha Circle over the next six months.

As per the official communication issued from the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar (dated 04.02.2026), the initiative aims to strengthen operational efficiency and accelerate business growth at the grassroots level.

The visits will be conducted under the guidance of the Chief Postmaster General (CPMG), Odisha Circle, following directions from the Ministry of Communications. The program is scheduled from February 2026 to July 2026.

Divisions have been instructed to compile comprehensive data for each Branch Office in a prescribed format. The data must include:

  • Business statistics

  • Revenue details

The BO-wise data must be submitted to the Circle Office at least one week before the scheduled visit.


2️⃣ Technical Arrangements for Presentation

To ensure effective review meetings at Branch Offices, divisions are directed to:

  • Arrange display materials

  • Set up audio-visual aids

  • Ensure availability of digital tools for presentations

  • Test all equipment in advance

The emphasis is on professional presentation and disruption-free review sessions.


3️⃣ Submission of Minutes Within 48 Hours

After each visit, the concerned division must prepare and submit the Minutes of Meeting to the Circle Office within 48 hours. This will help maintain timely records and track follow-up actions efficiently.

Notably, the communication also mentions sharing Income-to-Cost analysis of each Branch Office with the respective divisions. This indicates a strong push toward:
