India Post Launches Online Nominee Management Facility

In a major step towards improving digital banking services, the Department of Posts has introduced a new Internet Banking feature that allows customers to:

✅ Add Nominee
✅ Modify Nominee Details
✅ Delete Nominee

—all online without visiting the Post Office.

What’s New?

Customers can now manage nominee details directly through India Post Internet Banking, making the process faster, easier, and more convenient.

Important Clarification

Nominee details updated through Internet Banking will be treated as:

✔️ Valid
✔️ Official
✔️ Equal to nominations submitted through physical forms

(subject to system records).

Why This Matters

This initiative aims to:

  • Improve customer convenience
  • Promote digital banking usage
  • Reduce the need for branch visits
  • Support Digital India initiatives
