Such refusal can impact eligibility for financial upgradation under the MACP Scheme. LDCE (Limited Departmental Competitive Examination) Posts filled through LDCE are considered promotional posts, even though they are filled via examination. Therefore, refusal to join such posts is treated the same as refusal of promotion. No Distinction Between Recruitment Types The Department clarified that there is no difference between: Promotion quota Direct recruitment quota (in this context, when it leads to a higher post) Both are treated as valid avenues of promotion under MACP considerations.
